Notes
In September, 2006, I received an email from my friend, Josh Reims (whom I'd worked with on EVERWOOD), asking what my schedule was and could I quickly step in and take over composing the score for this show. I said I would if (a) I could co-write the score with my friend, James Dooley, and (b) we could create a live band type of score.
Jim and I had wanted to write together for years, having worked together on many Hans Zimmer projects. And I've always wanted to make music live, on the spot, with great players. What a nice change from sitting in front of my computer day in and day out. Even get to play keyboards with some of the best players in the world. During our first session, I told the band, "Guys, I haven't done this in so long, I'm afraid my mom's going to come through the door and tell us to keep it down."
For six weeks, we had some fun and some headaches, scoring six episodes.
